Privacy Policy

Effective 20 June 2026 · v1.0

This policy explains, in plain language, how Dr D Emergency Toolkit (Dr D Better Life Private Limited) handles your information.

1

Important — not a medical device

Dr D Emergency Toolkit is an educational and professional reference application. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat any patient. This policy explains, in plain language, what information the app handles and how.

2

Who we are

The Dr D Emergency Toolkit is operated by Dr D Better Life Private Limited (the "Dr D" team, "we", "us", "our"). For the purposes of data-protection law we act as the controller of the limited personal data described below. You can reach us via the Contact Us page or at drdacademyinfo@gmail.com.

3

What this policy covers

This policy applies to every part of the app: the clinical tools and calculators, the Score Library, emergency protocols and toxicology reference, the Code cockpits, your account and any subscription, and your favourites and settings.

4

Clinical tool inputs stay on your device

Values you type into calculators, scores, dosing tools and the Code cockpits are processed on your device to produce a result. We do not require, request or store patient-identifiable information, and we do not transmit your tool inputs to our servers. Any timeline or log you generate (for example a trauma-code log) stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it. Please use anonymous case labels only.

5

Information you give us

  • Account details: your name and email and/or phone number, and an optional profile photo (stored on your device).
  • Subscription: your chosen plan and billing region. Card/UPI details are handled by our third-party payment processor — we do not see or store full card numbers.
  • Support & feedback: any messages, ratings or feedback you send us.
6

Information collected automatically

  • App settings & activity: your theme, favourites, last-used tools and resume positions, kept to make the app work the way you left it.
  • Device & technical: device type, operating system, app version, language and crash/diagnostic logs needed to keep the app stable.
  • Aggregated analytics: de-identified usage data used to fix problems and improve content. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell your data.
7

How we use your data

  • To provide and personalise the app and remember your preferences.
  • To operate your account and process any subscription, and to prevent fraud.
  • To keep the app secure, diagnose problems and improve content quality.
  • To send service messages, and — only with your consent — optional reminders or offers.
8

Legal bases

Where required (for example under the UK/EU GDPR or India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023) we rely on: performance of our contract with you (to deliver the service), your consent (for optional notifications and any cloud sync), our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the app), and legal obligation (tax and record-keeping).

9

Sharing & disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with: service providers (secure hosting, analytics, crash reporting and our payment processor, which handles subscription billing, bound by contract to protect it); and authorities where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.

10

Storage, transfer & security

Most of your data — favourites, settings, tool inputs — is stored locally on your device. Any account data we hold is protected with encryption in transit, access controls and least-privilege staff access. Because our infrastructure may be global, limited account data may be processed outside your country using appropriate safeguards. No system is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your information and will notify you of any breach as required by law.

11

Data retention

We keep account and subscription data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete or anonymise it. Locally-stored settings and favourites remain on your device until you clear them or uninstall the app. Payment and tax records are kept for the period required by law.

12

Your rights & controls

  • Access & portability: request a copy of the account data we hold.
  • Correction: update your details in Settings.
  • Deletion: delete your account and associated data, or clear local data by uninstalling.
  • Withdraw consent: turn off optional notifications at any time.
  • Object or restrict: ask us to limit certain processing.
  • Complain: contact your local data-protection authority.
13

Children

The app is intended for healthcare professionals and students and is not directed at children under 16 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children; if you believe a minor has provided data, contact us and we will remove it.

14

Changes & contact

We may update this policy and will notify you of material changes in-app. For any privacy request, use the Contact Us page or write to drdacademyinfo@gmail.com.
